Intimidating shout wowwiki

It is an Ao E fear effect shout ability which causes the target to become incapacitated for 8 seconds, although any damage will break the effect.

but having a group of enemys tremble in place for 8 seconds seems like a good thing to me... pop int shout, and you have 8 secs to gain aggro or have DPS aoe dps the crap out of them.again, ive only played my tank for almost 2 weeks now, so i dont really know what to expect later on as a tank, and this could be one of the many things in the game that seem awesome in theory, but arnt that . IMO it seems pretty usefull as long as its fixed like the above poster said... not that I would ever Polymorph a Gorilla into a Monkey just for kicks ) but there's not really much you could do with that to make the amusing Glyphs....unless you could get a Glyph that made it so you audibly shouted "For Pony! But it is great for PVE utility as it is a very weak form of CC every 2 minutes.I was adviced something along the lines of this elsewhere: /targetnearesttarget /cast intimidating shout /targetlasttarget I wonder though, if u can use targetnearesttarget like this?: /cast [target=nearesttarget] intimidating shout or is this only for specific player names/creature names? As it would defeat the purpose of using it effectively in this expansion. Revert to BC mindset, then kindly mature from that and get used to what should have been in Wrath's place. And it's funny to watch a rogue backpeddal post-pop out. especialy if your AOEing groups of mobs that run...In PVP, Berserker Rage, Demo Shout easily outweigh this. And more rage after using Fear Breaker makes it a no brainer as you can use that rage to apply yet more .. just watch healthbar, and when its low, pop int shout so you dont get any runners.1st macro requires target swaps quickly, 2nd macro doesn't and therefore 2nd would be optimal, if there is any way to get "nearesttarget" into it?

Can't come up with any other way to just blow the shout even though no1 is in range to get feared :/ Edit: typos and bad gramma, sorry Thanks in advance dont know if its possible with a macro if its what im thinking you just have to focus charge/ intercept and target them then fear suppose you could have a targetlasttarget to get back to whoever you were on If the focus is out of range, you won't be able to fear.

Unless I'm misunderstanding the question, you want to just be able to fear without having your main target break on next hit?

If that's the case the best thing you can do is just target a pet or another player (totem perhaps?

It is like smart boomkins glyphing for Starfall in PVE. Same concept, you don't want to use Intim Shout in an expansion that provides you to CC from tanks taking too much damage and healers not having the regen to mindless spam heals.

It makes it effective as your mobs dont run off and run into other groups.

The tooltip suggests that this ability causes up to 5 nearby mobs to 'cower' in fear; where, in contrast, the shout only causes the targeted mob to 'cower', whilst up to 5 total nearby enemies will 'flee'.
